3 Easy Starward Whisky Cocktails to Make While Social Distancing

Australia are you looking for some easy whisky cocktails to make at home? We’ve got three Starward quarantine cocktails for you to try!

Finally, it seems like restrictions are going to be slowly lifted and Australians can once again venture outside. Thankfully, the end of isolation seems like a not too distant future.

But it’s often the last few miles of the race that are the most difficult.

If you, like us, are struggling to see how your sanity will last to the end, fear no more. We’ve put together a list of our absolute favourite do-it-yourself cocktails to help you manage. Whether you’re watching Netflix in your pyjamas, or working from home in your pyjamas, or doing anything else there is to do (in your pyjamas we assume); these cocktails will strike the perfect balance between taste and comfort to help your mind last as long as it needs to.

Coco-Nuts is the perfect comfort drink to get you through the impending cold days of winter isolation. This sweet sticky beverage is packed full of flavour – exactly what you need when isolation drives you a little nuts!

50mL Starward Two-Fold Whisky
45mL homemade Salted Caramel Syrup (see recipe below)
45mL cold-drip coffee (or any coffee)
25mL coconut cream
25mL coconut milk

1. Using a shaker, shake the coconut cream and milk with ice and set aside.
2. Shake remaining ingredients and pour over the prepared coconut cream and milk.
3. Strain into a highball (or tall glass) and top with ice.

1. Mix equal parts amaro and salted caramel syrup.
2. When thick and combined, set aside.

Find yourself yearning for Friday drinks? This cocktail will have you feeling like you’re at a rooftop bar as the sun sets over the water – from the comfort of your home. A quick and easy cocktail for first timers. Sometimes less really is more.

30mL Starward Two-fold Whisky
Sparkling apple juice

1. Add whisky to an old fashioned glass.
2. Top with sparkling apple juice and ice.
3. Garnish with mint and lemon.

The isolation-twist on this Aussie favourite will have you feeling cosy and ready to wait quarantine out. A cocktail so good you might not even want to leave when restrictions are lifted!

45mL Starward Two-Fold Whisky
45mL homemade Salted Caramel Syrup (see previous recipe)
30mL cold-drip coffee (or any coffee)
Dark chocolate to garnish

1. Add all ingredients into a mixer, shake vigorously.
2. Double strain into a coupe glass.
3. Lightly grate some dark chocolate on top.
