Vegemite Villa, the Aussiest stay you’ll ever have

From tiny homes and igloos to themed Airbnbs including a Spanish conch shell, we’ve seen and stayed in it all.

But never did we think we’d sleep in a giant Vegemite jar. And never have we wanted to more so than right now.

The team at Booking.com dug deep and thought about what Aussies love the most and it clearly came down to two things: Vegemite and big things. So, of course, they combined them.

Forget the Big Banana, Big Prawn or Big Pineapple, because Booking.com’s four-metre-high and two-metre-wide Vegemite jar is the new quirky spot on the block. Better yet, it is available exclusively on the site for guests to book for a tasteful weekend away… Located in the homeland of Vegemite’s parent company, Bega Cheese, the giant jar will grace the grasslands of Brogo in New South Wales and accommodate just two guests at a time for two unique nights.

The custom-built, self-contained villa looks like a regular Vegemite jar from the outside, but the inside is what it’s really all about. The level of cool and tacky tie harmoniously together, and we’re mega fans of it.

Complete with Vegemite furnishings including a bed which resembles Vegemite on toast, eye masks, slippers, socks and an alarm clock, you’ll be sure to never forget your salty stay. The villa is also fully equipped with power points and USB ports to keep you connected as you enjoy all that country New South Wales has to offer.

If you’d like to book your stay at the Vegemite jar, head to Booking.com on Wednesday 4 December 2019. At just $89 per night, you’re in for a real treat. However, get in quick, the Vegemite villa is only available for Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December 2019.
