Getting from A to B in the sea.

Uber has recently launched its newest, world first, rideshare submarine – scUber. Transporting riders through Australia’s Great Barrier Reef for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the world’s most charismatic, tropical, underwater oasis.

Launching from Monday 27 May to Tuesday 18 June, riders will be able to experience a first-hand, unfiltered view of this diverse marine world.

By pairing with this world-famous attraction which also boasts the biggest reef system and largest living organism on the planet, Uber will be generously donating $100,000 to Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef to support conservation programs. On top of that, they’ll also be donating the equivalent value of every scUber ride taken to this important organization.

This immersive underwater playground experience will allow riders to view some of the 3,000 individual reefs, 900 islands and over 1,500 species of fish that make up the Great Barrier Reef. Of course, there’ll be sightings of whales, turtles, manta rays, clown fish, sharks, potato cod, maori wrasse and a giant clam.

The next step is to simply request it.

There’s no doubt that this one-in-a-lifetime trip comes with a hefty price tag – a mere $3,000 for two people. Including a pickup and drop-off from your location, a helicopter ride to and from Gladstone to Heron Island (or from Cairns/Port Douglas to Agincourt Reef), the impeccable scUber submarine ride and finally, a car back to your original pick up address.

Throughout the four-week duration of scUber, there will only be a total of 20 rides available to experience the Great Barrier Reef in this new mode of transport. This first-come-first-serve service can only be requested once per day from 7:30am.

So put on your diving gear, the scUber’s here.
