The European cult-favourite biscuit brand has finally crumbled into two new Krispy Kreme doughnut flavours.

In 2020, Australian doughnut lovers went on a rampage to taste Krispy Kreme’s Oreo and Malteser infused combinations. But, to help stay atop of their doughnut-making limited-release game, the doughnut experts at Krispy Kreme have announced a partnership with Australia’s cult-favourite biscuit, Lotus Biscoff.

Forget the milkshake, cookie, roti and dessert lasagne recipes that Biscoff is famed for; this year, the Belgian biscuit is taking over the internet once more thanks to their long-awaited collaboration with famed doughnut brand Krispy Kreme.

Available in stores from Tuesday 02 March 2021, doughnut and Biscoff lovers alike will be able to get their hands on two new limited-edition Krispy Kreme doughnuts: the Lotus Biscoff Ring and the Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake

An unmissable release and possibly the best thing to be announced in 2021, the Krispy Kreme and Lotus Biscoff collaboration sees a celebration of the uniquely flavoured caramelised biscuit.

Olivia Sutherland, marketing director at Krispy Kreme Australia said, “We saw how loved Lotus Biscoff was around the world, so knew we had to give Aussies the chance to taste the two iconic flavours brought together in one delicious doughnut! We love coming up with new flavours for our fans and know they’ll love this irresistibly tasty new addition.”

So what can you expect from the two limited-edition Lotus Biscoff Krispy Kreme doughnuts?

Firstly, starting with the Lotus Biscoff Ring, Australian doughnut lovers can expect to bite into one of Krispy Kreme’s iconic Original Glazed doughnuts. Smothered in Lotus Biscoff spread, the Lotus Biscoff Ring is then finished with a hand drizzled swirl of  Lotus Biscoff Crème. Because all of the best things in life come in a ring-shaped form, right?

Next, to help see the famed dessert become an all-day, everyday treat, Krispy Kreme is helping Australians enjoy the finer things in life with their Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake doughnut. Just think, a Krispy Kreme signature shell that’s then dipped in Lotus Biscoff spread, filled with cream cheese frosting and finished with a Lotus Biscoff crumb and a chocolate ganache drizzle. An irresistibly delicious pick-me-up for any time of the day.

“What started as a biscuit perfectly paired with coffee has inspired new recipes around the world. We know how much Aussies love Krispy Kreme so we are thrilled to be partnering with them. We can’t wait for customers to try our iconic caramelised biscuit spread that is creating buzz,” said Anthony Fotoulis, marketing manager for Lotus Biscoff.

With a cult-following worldwide, there’s no denying that this limited-edition release is set to have Krispy Kremes stores go wild considering that there are over six billion Lotus biscuits consumed yearly.

The limited-edition Krispy Kreme Lotus Biscoff Ring and Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake doughnut will be freshly baked daily and available in store, at 7-Eleven stores nationally and via delivery as well as through online Krispy Kreme delivery, click and collect, UberEATS, Menulog and Deliveroo.
