Australia’s biggest and best festival of food and drink is returning this March 2024 – and you’re invited.

Running from Friday 15 to Sunday 24 March 2024, this week-long celebration puts a spotlight on the incredible range and flavours found throughout the city of Melbourne.

Kicking off the 2024 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival celebrations is the World’s Longest Lunch 2024, featuring the renowned culinary talent Andrew McConnell bringing to the event some of the magic that has made venues such as Gimlet, Cumulus Inc, Supernormal and Cutler & Co. This lunch will be served across a 600-metre-long table winding through Melbourne’s superb Kings Domain, in a spectacular dining experience that must be seen to be believed.

However, the 2024 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival is more than just one event. The rest of the week includes a jam-packed schedule of mouthwatering presentations and special dining experiences from some of the most acclaimed restaurants in Melbourne.

Standouts include Brunswick East’s hottest pizzeria, Figlia, teaming up with Adelaide chef Adam Listen for a Japanese-Italian crossover that is going to be a flaming good time. And, for something a little sweeter, the gelato experts at Pidapipo, one of Melbourne’s Best Ice-Cream and Gelato Shops, have developed a special range of Asian-inspired sweet-and savoury treats.

On top of this, Chef David, Daughter in Law, and Spice Temple are just a few of the fine dining establishments hosting events in tandem with the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. And no matter your dietary requirements, whether vegetarian, vegan, halal or kosher, there is something for you.

But it’s not just Melbourne based restaurants having all the fun. There are also plenty of bars, cafes, and wine cellars showing off some of the excellent drinks on offer. Think a boozy walking tour of Melbourne’s drinking history at the Victorian Whiskey Festival hosted at The Keys Bar, or even the Roaring Twenties Cocktail Party at the Kelvin Club, the city will be abuzz with excitement and energy that a few drinks can unlock.

Learn more about the full program at the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival’s website. Booking is essential, so make sure to get in early for your chance to dine out at this special occasion.
