Hot and Iced Matcha Latte

A delightfully earthy and subtly sweet pick-me-up, this superfood drink can be enjoyed both hot or cold. 

Matcha is packed with antioxidants and amino acids that are key to giving your skin a naturally radiant glow. Antioxidants fight against free radicals and prevent skin cell damage. In turn, your skin is left looking youthful and radiant.

This superfood has also been proven to be even more caffeinated than coffee, so it’s the perfect substitute for your morning fix minus the jitters and the afternoon crash.

Tip: To make an Iced Matcha Latte, follow step 1 below. Then, in a separate bowl, dissolve the honey and vanilla extract in a small amount of hot water. To serve, add your ice, milk and honey mixture to a glass. Slowly pour over the matcha for that aesthetically marbled look – you know what we’re talking about. INGREDIENTS:
1 tsp T2 100% Organic Matcha
2 tbsp hot water
1 cup milk of your choice
1-2 tsp honey
¼ tsp pure vanilla extract
Ice (for the Iced Matcha Latte)

METHOD:
1. In a bowl add your matcha powder and hot water. Whisk vigorously until well combined and the matcha becomes foamy.
2. Warm your milk over the stove, whisking occasionally so it does not curdle. Add your honey and vanilla extract to dissolve. Simmer until frothy.
3. To serve, pour the milk and matcha into a mug. Stir and enjoy!

1 cup milk of your choice

¼ tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of cinnamon

The golden spice contains a powerful compound called curcumin, which is anti-inflammatory and rich with antioxidants. Tumeric’s anti-bacterial properties also make it the perfect natural remedy for preventing breakouts and minimising the appearance of acne scars.

For better absorption of curcumin, top your drink off with a crack of black pepper.

INGREDIENTS:
4 oranges
3 carrots
2 green apples
2.5-inch ginger piece, peeled
1/8 cup lemon juice
Ice

METHOD:
1. Roughly chop your ingredients into smaller pieces. Then, one at a time, add ingredients into a juicer or blender.
2. If you are using a juicer, use the machine according to the instructions.
3. If you are using a blender, blend on high until all ingredients are incorporated. Using a fine-mesh sieve, slowly drain the juice into a jug. Enjoy over ice!


Rooibos Tea 

Native to South Africa, rooibos tea is earthy and sweet and is the perfect caffeine-free alternative to traditional black and green teas.

This calming superfood drink is great for your skin because of its high antioxidant content. Enjoy this tea on its own, or with a dash of milk and honey.
