So, to sip into this scrumptious winter warmer saviour, The Whisky Mill has kindly shared the secret behind a Hot Toddy cocktail.


Difficulty: Medium | Servings: 2


INGREDIENTS:

90mL Talisker 10 Year Old Whisky
30mL freshly squeezed lemon juice
50mL honey
400mL water
Small knob of grated ginger
Cinnamon stick
Star anise
Whole nutmeg for garnishing

METHOD:

1. Add all ingredients except the Talisker Whisky to a small saucepan on medium-high heat until just boiling, then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes on medium heat.

2. Meanwhile preheat mugs with hot water and then discard water. Next, add 45mL of Talisker Whisky to each.

3. Strain the heated mixture through a tea strainer equally.

4. Finally grate the whole nutmeg in plenty over the top and serve warm.
