Jurien Bay

This coastal town in the Wheatbelt region encapsulates the true beauty of what Western Australia has to offer. Located just two-and-a-half hours from Perth, Jurien Bay is one of the states most popular tourist destinations, home to an array of breathtaking experiences such as The Pinnacles, Nambung National Park, amazing beaches and more. A romantic getaway in itself, Jurien Bay is classified as one of the best day trip destinations from Perth.

Ledge Point

Looking for a more traditional weekend getaway destination? Ledge Point is any fisherman’s ideal weekend trip. Found one hour west of Moore River National Park, Ledge Point can be found along the coastline of Western Australia – or a little under a two-hour drive north of Perth’s CBD. This small beach town offers windsurfing, 4WD and incredible fishing locations that will be sure to even please Rex Hunt. This is an ideal location for a quick and simple getaway to sit back, relax and recharge.

Margaret River

If wineries, beaches, distilleries and chocolate isn’t enough to get you to Margaret River, then we don’t know what is. Located just a three-hour drive south of Perth, Margaret River is a haven for all things food and drink. With plenty of things to do and see, visiting for just one day will not be enough. Think pristine beaches, beer tours and even jaw dropping caves. Moore River

Feeling adventurous? Need more excitement? Want to be free of the office life and experience the great outdoors? Moore River is packed full with snorkelling, sand duning, fishing and not to mention some of the best local pubs and grub in Western Australia. If you’re looking for a getaway destination two hours from Perth, Moore River is one of the best short day trips to take – as well as one of the best destinations to make some classic Australian summer memories.

Rottnest Island

One of the most beautiful islands around Australia, this list of the best day trip destinations from Perth wouldn’t be complete without including Rottnest Island. Home to one of the best sailing destinations in Australia, it comes to no surprise that there’s plenty to do and see here. From bike riding to beach hopping, family fun activities, quokkas and more – Rottnest Island is jam-packed with fun. Departing from Perth, it takes approximately 30-minutes to get to Rottnest Island via ferry.
