Whether you’re looking for a long lunch, a heavenly spa experience, or innovative cocktails, you’re guaranteed to be tempted by The Star Sydney’s Indulgence 2021 festival.

This April and May 2021, The Star Sydney is debuting their latest food and drink festival, Indulgence. Each of their signature restaurants – Sokyo, BLACK Bar & Grill, Flying Fish, Cucina Porto and CHUUKA – as well as their onsite wellness retreat, The Darling Spa, have curated their vision of indulgence for the occasion.

In order to produce that luxury experience that so many of us have been yearning for, The Star has tasked Tame Impala’s Cam Avery, floral artist Doctor Cooper and DJ Alex Dimitriades with creating signature sensory experiences to complement what’s on offer.

Avery has lent his expertise to The Darling Spa, creating an exclusive, Japanese-inspired ambient soundtrack for their Lit’Ya Mala Mayi treatment – a 90-minute long restorative full body exfoliation, mud wrap and massage. The treatment will also include a glass of champagne, to really engage all five senses.

For the foodies, BLACK Bar & Grill will be bringing together themes of dark and light to create a dining experience reminiscent of renaissance still life, with the help of florist Doctor Cooper. Chef Dany Karam is presenting a tasting plate of some of Australia’s finest meats, including aged lamb loin, Kurobuta pork chop and wagyu beef tenderloin. The menu will be enhanced by a backdrop of Doctor Cooper’s work, which features magnolias throughout.

Meanwhile, DJ Alex Dimitriades has put together a playlist of rare global grooves to soundtrack Sokyo throughout April and May. Dimitriades himself will even be stepping behind the decks every Saturday night from Saturday 01 to Saturday 22 May! His top-quality beats will be complemented by top shelf Japanese whiskys and an incredible menu put together by executive chef, Chase Kojima. Guests will have the choice between four unique flights of Japanese whisky, all paired with beef tenderloin tataki served with a smoked aioli.

At Flying Fish, they believe that there’s nothing better than a long lunch. So, executive chef Peter Robertson has curated a star-studded lunch menu featuring caviar, oysters and sea urchin, so that you can really savour every bite. They will also be bringing you a unique drinks trolley to top off your meal!

CHUUKA will be displaying indulgence through the use of silky textures and luxe ingredients in a menu created by chefs Kojima and Victor Liong. Fusing the complexities of Chinese cuisine and the precision of Japanese cuisine; the menu is designed for shared feasts and will feature a selection of raw seafood, as well as Tempura Yuzu Chicken and their signature Peking Duck. Diners can also indulge in a special roe service, featuring Ikuru Salmon roe, cashew cream, golden egg yolk sauce, shallots chives and potato rice cracker, all while overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Plus, because there’s always room, each of the participating venues will also be serving a dessert utilising Valrhona luxury chocolate. At Cucina Porto, this will be an Italian Dessert Plate put together by chef Martino Pultio, which features tiramisu, cannoli, bigne, cioccolato e lamponi and a classic torta della mamma.

So, if you’re looking to indulge in a luxury experience, make your way over to The Star Sydney this April and May 2021!
