For two nights only, Cirrus in Barangaroo is hosting their annual dinner series. Making a return on Wednesday 02 and Thursday 03 August, guests will be treated to a premium, seasonal five-course menu complete with David Coomer’s rare black winter truffles that are sourced east of the Margaret River. Throughout the evening truffle lovers will be blessed with the likes of Potato Dauphinoise with Parmesan Truffle Custard, Grilled Bay Lobster with Black Garlic and Black Truffle Bisque and, to finish, an intriguing Chestnut Tart with Truffle and Dark Chocolate Ice Cream. With wine pairings by Nick Hildebrandt, this is one of Sydney’s best winter truffle dinners you do not want to miss.

This year, until August, Devon Cafe will be serving up the likes of Truffle Mie Goreng, Truffle French Toast Katsu, Hervey Bay Scallop with truffle butter, Foie Gras with caramelised onion, apple puree and truffle, a Truffle Egg Sando, a Wagyu Katsu Sando, Truffle Fries and, if you’re still hungry for more, a Truffle Sundae and a Truffle DD Special which sees a truffle soft serve, hot chips and fresh truffle marry together in a drool-worthy dish. Designed to showcase the magic of the Australian truffle season, food enthusiasts will be able to pick from Ricotta & Prosciutto Crostini, Mafaldine Cacio e Pepe Pasta, Truffle Basque Cheesecake and even two truffle cocktails: the margarita inspired Trufflerita and a Marta Trufflini (a decadent spin on the classic martini). Serving up fresh, affordable pasta that tastes just as good as Nonna’s, their truffle menu is no exception this year. Think Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe with fresh truffle ($35), Criss Cut Potato Chips with crispy bacon, truffle oil and fresh truffle ($24) and, our personal favourite, the Homemade Classic Tiramisu with fresh truffle ($25).
