Sydney’s Victoria Park is set to host a New Year’s Eve dance party for the very first time this year, far away from all the tourist traps and road closures of the central CBD.

Curated by Hot Dub Time Machine and Falcona – the creative minds behind national sold-out tours including Wonderland Warehouse Project and Hot Dub Wine Machine – NYE in the Park will showcase a stellar lineup on two stages.

2MANYDJS will become the headline act under Soulwax, the Belgian-based Dewaele brothers who created the popular singles NY Excuse and E Talking, and their album Nite Versions. The pair have headlined most stadiums, arenas and nightclubs in the world, delivering wildly eclectic and entertaining sets – from prog-rock, to RnB, to hip hop, to German techno, to electro.

To co-incide with the countdown into 2018, Hot Dub Time Machine will be setting off his epic, time-travelling, audio-visual party. This will be the ultimate homecoming for Tom Loud, the man behind Hot Dub, who will have recently returned from back-to-back, sold-out performances to thousands across Europe and the US.

The NYE in the Park lineup will also feature American rapper and hip-hop artist Chali 2na pairing the stage with English electronic DJ Krafty Kuts. The dynamic duo will pack a remarkable energy into their set – it will be fire from start to finish as Krafty unleashes his signature funk and bass beats, while Chali 2na unleashes his monster baritone.

Sydney-based singer-songwriter Vera Blue will also take to the stage with her huge voice, magic stage presence and always eye-catching costumes. Her recent Splendour in the Grass 2017 set was widely acclaimed by media as one of the festival’s standout performances.

As well as the four performers above, NYE in the Park will showcase 13 other performers, including Northeast Party House, Total Giovanni, Paces, Australia’s electronic dance music trailblazers Yahtzel, Furnace and the Fundamentals, Running Touches, popular Sydney chanteuse Nicole Miller, Maribelle, Haiku Hands, Luen Jacobs, legends of the Sydney indie-club scene Purple Sneakers DJs, German electro group Parcels, and Mezko.

The 17-strong lineup of powerhouse acts will be hosted by aerobics instructors from the 1980s cult Sydney craze Retrosweat, all dressed in nostalgic leotards and legwarmers. Victoria Park will be laden with plenty of bars and toilets, as well as a selection of gourmet food. And to top it all off, this festival-sized line-up comes without a festival-sized price-tag.
