Let happy hour beGIN…

If you’re anything like us, you might have found that the magic of being your own at-home bartender is starting to wear off. Sure, there’s some level of satisfaction to be found from shaking a celebratory cocktail above your head, but also how many more free-pour margaritas need to go wrong before you admit to yourself that maybe you’re not exactly Harry Craddock?

Don’t worry! Sydney’s very own Gin Lane has come to save the day, offering weekly cocktail classes for those who still want to give it a crack, and a drive-thru cocktail pick up for those of us who are happy to let the experts take over.

Led by internationally acclaimed mixologist and the founder of one of Australia’s best gin bars, Gin Lane, Grant Collins is hosting an Instagram Live ‘Virtual Friday Drinks’ session every Friday at 3:30pm every week. In these, he runs through the tips and tricks you’ll need to make your own cocktails at home.

Even better, he’ll select a ‘Gin of the Week’ and show you how to build the perfect G&T with it. So if you don’t know your Gordon’s from your Bombay Sapphire, then this is the place to head. Or, if you’re looking for something a little zestier, he’ll also be demonstrating more simple creations and signature serves. Start your weekend early and get shaking.

Alternatively, on Sunday’s, you can join Grant online for his speedy ‘2 in 10’ sessions, where he’ll show you how to make two amazing drinks from scratch, in just 10 minutes – all using ingredients you’ll probably have in your fridge already.

However, if like us, it’s the end of the week and you’re feeling a little lazy, then let Grant and the team at Gin Lane do all the hard work for you.

Chippendale’s Gin Lane are offering the city’s first ever drive-thru cocktail service. Simply check out the menu online, send your order in by SMS or email, and drive up to receive your cocktail package contactlessly. Each drink comes pre-made and fully sealed, with prepared garnishes and instructions. For extra guidance, you can also watch how-to videos by Grant on Gin Lane’s IGTV. If this is totally up your lane, you can also order especially Iso Cocktail Packages for birthdays, and even Mother’s day.
