Move over fruit juice mocktails – Dry July has come early with Australia’s first ever non-alcoholic bar set to open its doors this April 2021.

From the Australian distillery that brought us non-alcoholic gin, this April 2021, Australia will be welcoming its first-ever non-alcoholic cocktail bar thanks to Brunswick Aces.

Announced late February, the permanent establishment that is set to reside in Melbourne has been designed to specifically cater for non-drinkers. And no, we’re not talking fruit juice induced mocktails or soft drinks, just classic cocktails minus the booze.

Thanks to a recent study showing a sustained reduction in alcohol intake by Aussies; this Australian first aims to help normalise drinking in moderation and promoting zero-alcohol alternatives.

Set to open late April 2021, in time for Dry July, the 150-person capacity venue located in Brunswick East will be a dedicated space for non-drinkers to enjoy an extensive offering of zero-alcohol drinks and cocktails. And with front row seats to the onsite distillery, guests will be able to watch the operation in action on their visit.

From premium zero alcohol beers and wines sourced from Australian and world renowned breweries and wineries, to zero-alcohol takes on classic cocktails such as the negroni, espresso martini and more; Brunswick Aces’ menu will be designed to cater for a variety of taste buds especially with their signature 0% alcohol gin alternatives, Brunswick Aces Spades Sapiir and Brunswick Aces Hearts Sapiir, at the forefront.

Brunswick Aces Distillery CEO and co-Founder Stephen Lawrence said, “We’re turning the traditional bar on its head. The demand for quality non-alcoholic drinks has been increasing year on year across the country, so the time is right for an offering that puts those choosing not to drink first.”

“We want to lead the charge by opening The Brunswick Aces Bar and deliver delicious non-alcoholic choices that don’t compromise on taste. Everything we serve will be 0% alcohol, with our contemporary cocktail list designed to thrill any palate, and not a fruit juice mocktail in sight.”

Ensuring that everyone feels welcome, just as their ethos entails, the new Brunswick Aces non-alcoholic bar will also have a single, tippled option of a gin and tonic available that is created using their two 40% ABV gin blends.

In the future the team intends to expand the non-alcoholic bar to Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide – hoping to encourage and normalise moderate drinking.
