Partnering with renowned Sydney-based bartender at Eau De Vie and Brand Ambassador of Disaronno, Danilo Migliorini, we’re here to to give you three tips to create the ultimate at-home bar for your next home happy hour:

1. Recipes

Having the right recipe for your cocktail is more important than you think. If you don’t know what you’re going to make, or how you’re going to make it, you’ll struggle to put together that beautiful sip you deserve. A great place to start for Disaronno-infused cocktails is the Disaronno YouTube channel. Here you’ll be able to find an array of how-to videos which are great not only for enhancing your cocktail skills but also for your next tipple inspiration.

2. Ingredients

Building up your at home bar collection can be a lengthy process – sometimes it’s a process that eventually builds up over time – so don’t fret if it can’t be done in one shop. First, start with the basics. Danilo recommends to start with a bottle of Disaronno, lemons and limes, mixers like soft-drinks and tonics as well as an ice tray. Tip: to make crushed ice, simply place ice cubes into a tea-towel and hit with a rolling pin.

3. Tools

Forget fretting over needing a whole set of potions to create some cocktail theatrics. To kick off your at home bar, Danilo suggests starting with the basics. “To measure spirits accurately you’ll need a jigger – we recommend a 15 and 30mL double-ended one. This makes such a difference to the end taste; cocktail making is a bit like science and the ratio of ingredients is key. A sharp knife, spoon for stirring, a shaker and a strainer also come in handy. Once you have these basics in place – move onto the muddler, [and] peeler. Pretty soon you’ll have a decent bar collection.”


Three Easy Disaronno Cocktails to Make at Home:

Disaronno Fizz

Disaronno Fizz

Ingredients:
45mL Disaronno
Fresh lemon juice
Soda or sparkling water
Ice
Lemon Zest

Method:
1. Pour Disaronno over ice, add a squeeze of fresh juice and top up with soda water.
2. Sit and garnish with lemon zest.


Disaronno Mule

Disaronno Mule

Ingredients:
50mL Disaronno
25mL fresh pressed lime juice
Ginger beer
Ginger and lime slice

Method:
1. Pour Disaronno and fresh-pressed lime juice over ice in a mule cup and stir.
2. Top up with ginger beer. Garnish with grated ginger.


Disaronno Sour

Disaronno Sour

Ingredients:
50mL Disaronno
25mL fresh lemon juice
5mL sugar syrup
Egg white

Method:
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a shaker. Add ice.
2. Shake. Strain into a glass and serve with a slice of lemon.
