Melbournians, get ready to feast on some cheesy goodness at this new Burrata bar!

From the folks behind the sensational UGO Cucina Popolare in Heidelberg West comes an entirely new concept that is sure to excite cheese lovers all over Melbourne.

Setting up shop in the beloved and iconic South Melbourne Market, UGO Burrata Bar is a first-of-its-kind concept restaurant whose menu centres entirely around burrata cheese, pairing the famed Italian cow’s milk cheese with fresh ingredients to create delicious seasonal dishes.

“To launch our first UGO Burrata Bar inside South Melbourne market just made sense,” said co-owner Dario Di Clerico. “We have a long-standing relationship with the South Melbourne Market and felt that the space deserves the very first concept of its kind.”

With an outer casing of solid cheese making way for an inside of oozy and gooey stracciatella and cream, burrata has become the latest trending sensation online. And UGO Burrata Bar is serving up some of the most delicious burrata in the city.

Burrata is the true piece of their decadent meals. With at least 10 amazing dishes on the menu at any time, the team has created a range of seasonal combinations that pair the favourite oozy cheese with fresh local ingredients, many from South Melbourne Market, to suit any taste bud and mood.

“We want to showcase that burrata and mozzarella are not only seasonal products, but delicious ingredients that can be paired up all year round,” explained Di Clerico.
