We’ve found five of the best Korean BBQ restaurants around Perth for you to sizzle your way into. Happy eating!
Ideal for big groups, Palsaik Namoo offers an impressive and expansive menu with a vibrant atmosphere and decor to match. And, if you’re stuck on what to order, Palsaik Namoo’s Eight Flavoured Pork-Belly is a signature must-try. The presentation of this dish is impeccable: the pork is rolled and served in a wooden tray with their flavours labelled: garlic, curry, wine, miso, bulgogi, pepper and chilli. Plus, to help you keep topped up, Palsaik Namoo also offers free kimchi refills!
Specialising in all things chicken, Gami is one of Australia’s favourite Korean BBQ restaurants with three convenient Perth-based locations to choose from! Plus, where else can you snag a dozen gourmet chicken wings for $16.50?! They also offer complimentary special sauces with their chicken but we recommend opting for the Lemon Spicy Sauce which is a delicious accompaniment to any meal. Gami has great service, great food and even better beer at a very agreeable price.
Arirang Korean BBQ
Renowned for being one of Perth’s best Korean BBQ restaurants, Arirang is definitely worth the visit. We recommend opting for the Seafood Pancake ($16.90) which is light, well-cooked and a scrumptious savoury starter. Of course, for something heartier, the Yukgaejang ($19) is perfect for your main course, and it’s not disappointing – thanks to its tantalising and pleasantly experience of spice meets broth without being too overwhelming. Bookings are recommended to ensure you don’t miss out!
POPPO Restaurant is Asian fusion done right, offering a huge menu selection, cheap eats, lunch specials, quick service and complimentary tea. Featuring a colourful array of Japanese and Korean dishes, the hardest decision you’ll have to make is what to order. Nonetheless, we’d recommend starting with a Dynamite Roll ($8) and then continuing with Kimchi Pork ($11) to share.
K Town Restaurant
K Town offers authentic Korean fare at bargain prices. Highlights on the menu include the Korean Fried Chicken ($29), the Korean Army Stew ($40) and the Cheesy Pork Ribs ($49) to name a few. Plus, while you’re here, don’t forget to try their homemade kimchi which is just as delicious as it is unique. Did we mention that K Town is bring-your-own too? So be sure to bring along your favourite beer, wine or soju.
