Hommus, it may be bland in colour, but it certainly packs a punch in flavour.
And since we’re self-confessed hommus-holics, we’ve spent countless hours searching for new and exciting snacks that we can pair with the heavenly whip of chickpea and tahini.
And, thanks to the team at SSS Foods together with health and fitness genius, Miranda Brady (@clean_treats), have taken on Donna Hay’s recipe and found the perfect solution: Healthy Chicken and Pumpkin Fritters smothered in SSS Foods’ Coriander, Cumin and Chilli Hommus.

Cooking time: 30 minutes | Difficulty: Easy | Servings: 4
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (320g)
3 cups pumpkin, grated (390g)
2 sprigs spring onion, diced
1 cup self-raising flour (150g)
3/4 cup almond milk + 1 tsp lemon juice (or use buttermilk)
1 cup fresh mint, finely chopped
1 tbs sumac
Salt and pepper
Green salad & SSS Foods Coriander, Cumin & Chilli Hommus to serve
1. Combine the prepared chicken, pumpkin, spring onion, eggs, flour, almond milk, mint, seasoning and spices together in a bowl. Mix well.
2. Heat a non-stick in a frying pan, and scooping 1-2 tbsp of batter, add fritter mixture to the pan and cook until golden on both sides.
3. Serve with a green salad and generous dollops of SSS Foods Coriander, Cumin & Chilli Hommus.
