We know just the feeling: there’s a point in the day when we want nothing more than a sweet snack. Something that not only appeases our appetite, but it is easy to make and, most of all, is healthy.

Enter the Frozen Strawberry, Maple and Yoghurt Bark recipe by Maple From Canada.

Shared ahead of World Health Day (Sunday 07 April) celebrations, the Frozen Strawberry, Maple and Yoghurt Bark recipe is easy to make and, surprisingly guilt-free with only 40 calories per serving. Thank us later!


Duration: 10 minutes | Difficulty: Easy | Servings: 12


INGREDIENTS: 

1 cup of fresh berries
1/3 cup roasted almonds (roughly chopped)
1 cup low fat Greek yoghurt
4 tbsp pure Canadian maple syrup (preferably dark syrup for its robust taste)
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp lemon juice

 

METHOD: 

1. Add the maple syrup, Greek yoghurt, vanilla extract and lemon juice in a bowl and whisk together.

2. Pour the mixture into a tray lined with parchment paper. Stud with the fruit and chopped nuts.

3. Next, place the tray in the refrigerator. Leave to freeze overnight.

4. Once frozen, remove from the freezer and slice into shards. Enjoy!
