They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but just wait until you taste it for yourself.

Nestled amongst the bustle of Paddington, lovers of fresh, sustainably sourced salads and healthy eats will be transported to an oasis of Instagram-worthy deliciousness, all wrapped up in the aesthetically stunning, Daily Greens.

Founded by Jem Jacinto in 2019 (the mastermind behind one of our favourite Sydney poke restaurants, Finn Poke) Daily Greens uses the same healthy heartbeat for his newest show-stopper. Think mindful eating, nourishing ingredients and a comfortable fast-casual setting to keep up with Sydney’s lifestyle.

Inside the Paddington store amidst the neutral colour palette, rattan woven chairs, wrap-around windows and lush greenery both inside and out (you can’t miss the indoor tree Daily Greens was built around), guests will be delighted by the menu featuring an expansive selection of breakfast feeds, their signature salad bowls, pastries and fresh house-made juices. Thankfully, we were sent a selection of Daily Greens’ warm and cold bowls to test and here’s what we thought:

Build-A-Bowl

Build-A-Bowl

I decided to take matters into my own hands and build my own bowl (from $15.95), resulting in a stunning spiral-salad-sensation. Honestly, it looked better than it tasted – thanks to my rookie mistake of ignoring the experts and making my own. My recipe included a warm quinoa and shredded kale base, apple, mint, cranberries, corn, chicken breast, crispy chickpeas, house-made beet hummus and a lemon squeeze. The highlight – the house-made beet hummus – a vibrant fuschia dip jam-packed with flavour. The thin-sliced apple, currents and crispy chickpeas were also delightful tangy bursts. The warning: don’t order the lemon squeeze. It’s literally lemon. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I had serious salad dressing envy from those around me. It was a healthy and delicious bowl – just make sure to stick to one of the items listed on the menu.

Greek Goddess

Greek Goddess

One bite of this salad and you can almost hear the waves crashing against the rocks of Santorini. Well, not exactly, but the Greek Goddess bowl ($17.95) definitely serves up all the summer vibes, boasting a refreshing bed of crunchy greens topped with tangy feta, succulent olives and a zesty green dressing. Light and flavour-filled, it’s the perfect option for a summer lunch!

Miso Salmon

Miso Salmon

The Miso Salmon ($19.95) looks too good to ruin with your cutlery, but the rising aroma says otherwise. And once you sink your teeth into the salmon on the first bite, you know that the aroma wasn’t lying. Yes, that is a faint touch of caramel drizzled on top. Who knew that healthy eating could taste this devilish? The Atlantic Salmon effortlessly crumbles in the mouth, matching nicely with the crunchy textures of cucumber slices and organic black and brown rice.

Moroccan Chicken

Moroccan Chicken

If you want fresh, light and wholesome, look no further than the Moroccan Chicken ($17.95). Laying on a king-sized bed of quinoa adorned with fresh mint, a dash of lemon and crunchy hazelnut surprises, the texture is soft and as you bite into the hazelnuts, they burst with a nutty contrast. Next, the Moroccan Chicken is topped with chicken and grilled sweet potato – perfectly balancing the acidity and coarse textures of the below layers. To enhance flavours, the Moroccan Chicken is washed with a beetroot puree brightening up each bite with a dreamy charismatic flavour.

Roasted Carrot & Avo

Roasted Carrot & Avo

Talk about happy and healthy! Unveiling the Daily Greens’ Roasted Carrot & Avo ($17.95) was a sight to behold thanks to its meticulous presentation and contrast of colours. The carrot and avocado, which were the heroes of the bowl, were perched on a bed of warm organic black and brown rice and shredded kale. As I dove in, the first thing I noticed was the lime coriander vinaigrette and how it tied everything effortlessly together, from the carrots and avocado to the kale, roasted broccoli and spicy sunflower seeds.
