Authentic Mexican cuisine, charismatic cocktails and a convenient harbourside location – Bar Patrón ticks all of the boxes for summer 2024!

The season of indulgence has only just begun! Although end of year festivities has come and now gone, Bar Patrón is embracing the warmer months with their new summer food and cocktail menu at their convenient Circular Quay location.

Although this Mexican oasis has been on our radar for some time already, this dining destination recently introduced a range of seasonal dishes that are accompanied by a refreshing lineup of cocktails sure to help tame the summer season.

Their new range of dishes are authentic, irresistible, refreshing and the perfect balance to a sunny and quintessentially Australian summer. Although it takes a nod to traditional Mexican cuisine, the menu has drawn on inspiration from modern Australian flavours with their six-hour, slow-cook Braised Little Joe MB4+ Short Ribs. On top of this, the Tuna Tiradito, Mulloway Asado with capsicum salsa picante, tempura king Crispy Prawn Tacos and South American inspired Scallop Ceviche with burnt pineapple and tequila leche de tigre are all a must try!

As for their cooling range of cocktails, guests can shake up their visit by trying the Bar Patrón Watermelon Suga made with Patrón Silver, watermelon, Illegal Jovan Mezcal, agave and lime. Otherwise, on top of their impressive margarita list including the iconic Millionaire’s Margarita, our favourite latest addition to the Bar Patrón cocktail list for summer 2024 is the Cancun Coola made with Patrón Reposado, Jamaica flower cordial, grapefruit and topped with pomegranate soda in an ice-filled terracotta cup.

Bar Patrón Food & Beverage Director Hugo Suire said that “previously the menu veered towards traditional Mexican. Now, I would describe it as Australian-Mexican, incorporating Mexican recipes and Australian ingredients. The overall feel of the summer menu is light and citrussy, with lots more seafood.”

With food and cocktails heavily influenced by traditional Mexican cuisine, the new summer menu at Bar Patrón plays heavily also on non-Mexican ingredients to really bring a unique twist this season. Plus, with a mini interior makeover, the breathtaking, light-filled, Circular Quay location is sure to provide that ultimate luxe-summer feel whether you pop in for a drink or a three-course meal.
