Slane Irish Whiskey: Slane Fashioned Recipe

A modern take on the classic cocktail.

Thought to be founded in the 1880’s in Kentucky, today, the much-beloved bourbon whisky cocktail is a staple for all whisky enthusiasts. Slane Irish Whiskey is internationally recognised and described as charismatic in flavour. And now, the distillery has reinvented the classic Old Fashioned to feature the robust flavours of the north of Ireland whiskey – highlighting the distinct, signature triple-casked process and taste.

INGREDIENTS

2 parts Slane Irish Whiskey
1/2 part oloroso sherry
1/4 part demerara syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 dash barrel-aged bitters

METHOD

1. Combine ingredients in a mixing glass and stir with ice

2. Strain over single large ice cube in a rocks glass

3. Garnish with expressed lemon peel and cherry as desired
