Archie Rose Distillery
The Archie Rose Distillery in Rosebery houses a functional and very aesthetically pleasing distillery with a fully stocked bar just a wall away. Inside the venue guests are able to experience one of their legendary distillery tours to learn how their vodkas, gins and whiskies are created all followed by a tasting of their core spirits. Even better, you can join in one of their masterclasses and try your hand at cocktail making, gin-blending and more right on site.

The Barber Shop
The Barber Shop on York Street is a step back in time to say the least. With their parlour-styled venue alongside their steaming functional bar, The Barber Shop is a hidden treasure tucked within Sydney’s bustling streets. Both ladies and gents are welcome for a traditional barber service or simply just a drink over at the bar. Also found in Barangaroo, The Barber Shop has an overwhelming liquor menu to read through. So even though you can book yourself in for a hot towel shave, we recommend heading straight for the gin!

Eau De Vie
Gin and jazz go hand in hand with one another. And, thanks to this cocktail bar in Sydney, Eau De Vie, your visit will be just as glamorous as what you’d expect it to be. This intimate, dimly lit speakeasy focuses on creating extraordinary cocktails thanks to their exception service from all staff. With something for everyone, Eau De Vie even has a designated Whisky Room that houses a large collection of the special spirit – you can even purchase whisky and store it in their Bottle Lockers. Set to reopen their doors late May 2023, Eau De Vie will always remain as one of the best spots to drink gin in Sydney.

Four Pillars Laboratory
Opening their doors in 2020, for the past three years the Four Pillars Laboratory has been famed as being one of the best gin bars in Sydney, and after one visit you’ll soon realise why. At their convenient Surry Hills location you’ll find plenty of things to explore. First and foremost, the Four Pillars Laboratory is their Sydney gin distillery. Then, there’s a designated area where guests can chat, buy and learn about all things gin. Finally, to appease your thirst, as you make your way into Eileen’s Bar, you’ll be treated to a world-class cocktail bar that focuses on concocting cocktails using their renowned creations. From classics to signature cocktails, gin and tonics, mixers and highballs, you’ll find all of this and more at the Four Pillars Laboratory.

Gin Lane
One of Sydney’s best gin bars, Gin Lane is an intimate, unique venue housing about as many varieties of gin as you could want. An 18th century terraced town house with a historic edge, guests will surely feel like they’ve travelled back in time once entering. On top of an extensive selection of spirits, Gin Lane houses over 25 specially curated cocktails and 75 hand selected gins. This is the one Sydney bar where cocktail theatrics come alive!

Hickson House Distilling Co.
Tucked away in The Rocks, this is one of Sydney’s best gin distilleries, Hickson House Distilling Co. Led by the legends behind The Barbershop, The Duke of Clarence and Manly Spirits – Mikey Enright, Julian Train and Tim Stones – Hickson House was designed to be a one-stop-shop for all things Australian-made spirits. Here you’ll also find hard-to-find whiskies and over 600 bottles from all around the globe. Awarded with Australia’s Best New Bar and Best Distillery Bar in 2022, the Hickson House site is complete with a distillery and two bars – one of which is an intimate cocktail mezzanine space.

Moya's Juniper Lounge
Moya’s Juniper Lounge is an old-world cocktail bar that specialises in gin. You’ll find some of the quirkiest cocktail concoctions here, matched with an atmosphere that captures the old era gone by ― back when gin really was used for medicinal purposes. The Roosevelt
Transport your tastebuds to the big apple thanks to this Potts Point located gin bar, The Roosevelt. First opening in 1943, The Roosevelt then was a go-to for American service men later becoming Abe Saffron’s first nightclub in the Cross. After disobeying the restrictive alcohol laws, the venue closed down. Come 2012, their doors finally reopened and welcome gin lovers from all over into their upscale New York style bar complete with dine and private poker den.
