Looking for a winter warmer? This is one sip you won’t want to miss.

Over the past year, Bombay Sapphire has done nothing short but serve up the best of the best for Australians. First they released the red-hued berry-tasting Bombay Bramble and then they canned up the year with a premixed gin and tonic cocktail can.

Now, just as winter rolls around in Australia, they have announced the arrival of their newest limited-edition gin to the collection, Sunset.

Just as exotic and nourishing as the sun feels beaming down onto our skin on a cloudy afternoon, Bombay Sapphire Sunset does just that with every sip. A special edition nonetheless, the latest creation from Bombay Sapphire is inspired by the universal glow of the slow setting sun. Because, we can all admit, nothing is as blissful as that sunset we all admire.

Following the launch of the Bombay Sapphire English Estate in 2019, Bombay Sapphire Sunset gin is designed to take drinkers from late afternoon pick-me-ups all the way into the evening. Combining signature Bombay botanicals, Sunset has introduced an additional three into this new release: golden turmeric, Indian white cardamom, and Spanish mandarin.

Complex and beautifully balanced, Bombay Sapphire Sunset is just as aromatic as it is to drink. With it’s flavour-packed spices and botanicals, this winter warmer is best enjoyed when in the presence of a glowing and spectacular sunset.

Bombay Sapphire Master of Botanicals, Ivano Tonutti says that “Bombay Sapphire Sunset balances the spices of the cardamom and turmeric together with  bittersweet sun-dried Spanish mandarin delivering aromatic spice and warmth, just like those last rays of sunshine at the end of the day.”

“[It provides] a lingering warmth and refreshing taste.”

Much like Bombay Sapphire’s expansive collection, Sunset allow Australian gin lovers to stir their own cocktail creativity together. Best paired with ginger ale, a fresh ginger slice and a squeeze of lime, Bombay Sapphire Sunset can be mixed and muddled to suit every taste. Plus, if you’re a classic cocktail lover, this sunset-inspired gin can be used to enhance a negroni into a Sunset Negroni, making it the ideal choice for twilight drinks.

Offering gin lovers an elevated option for their favourite tipple, Bombay Sapphire Sunset is held at the slightly higher ABV of 43% thanks to its heightened concentration of spices. Using Bombay’s signature vapour distillation technique, the delicate infusion of aromatics has created a distinct and warming flavour profile for gin lovers.

A refreshing twist to the classic, this new limited-edition sunset-inspired gin, Bombay Sapphire Sunset is available nationwide at BWS and Dan Murphy’s now for $65.
