Australian Antarctic Festival

Australia’s Antarctic port is located in Hobart and serves as the heart of science, logistics, shipping and crew transport servicing. This work is celebrated with the Australian Antarctic Festival on the 2-5 August. With a series of exhibitions, open days, school excursions, entertainments and lectures, the Antarctic is brought to you and provides a look at the coldest, highest, driest and windiest place on earth.

Whale Watching

Southern white whales have only recently re-appeared in their ancestral breeding grounds around Tasmania and can be spotted between May and November. They migrate North to warmer waters to give birth and mate. Sheltered waters on the East Coast of Tasmania provide the optimal places to spot the whales, including: Binalong Bay, Great Oyster Bay, Frederick Henry Bay, etc.

Landscape x Old Kempton

In honour of Tasmanian Whisky Week, the Landscapes Bar and Grill Restaurant is pairing up with Old Kempton Distillery to serve five courses with five single malt whiskies.
