What’s On: Brisbane in November

Starting on the 3rd of November, The BrisWest Centre is proud to welcome the inaugural event, Paddington SoulFest, to celebrate and practice yoga, chanting and meditation. This is the first time the event has gone ahead, and it is due to be a ~calming~ yet enthusiastic success.
Melbourne Cup at Ovolo Inchcolm
The Ovolo Inchcolm is holding the lunch of all lunch’s for the Melbourne Cup in Brisbane. The show explores the core of American values in music and literature. It is a collision between European values and history in terms of music and the art of language in the form of a classic show.
Bubbles and Barrels Beer Festival
To the brew-loving community in Brisbane, it is time to rejoice. The Pig ‘N’ Whistle is holding the Bubbles and Barrels Beer Festival to offer a taste of summer and what 2019 will have to offer. Some of the brewers that will be a part of the day include; Young Henrys, Little Creatures and Monkey Tree.
The Catherine Tate Show Live
Catherine Tate is bringing The Catherine Tate Show Live to Australia, for the first time. The tour will preview never-before-seen sketches of the characters in her BBC series. The cast will include ‘Nan’ Taylor, Irish nurse Bernie, Geordie Georgie, Essex girl Sam…and the return of a certain argumentative teenager…
Gerwyn Davies is the Museum of Brisbane’s Artist-In-Residence this November and will be showcasing his creative photography – in which he combines photography and costume making. The MoB describes Davies and how he “re-imagines the body as a platform for reinvention by combining constructed photography and costume making to create provocative self-portraits.”
Medibank Feel Good Program
The Medibank Feel Good Program is a series of free fitness classes held in South Bank Parklands. Refresh and recharge with these classes, which include yoga, core strength, bootcamp, mums and bubs, cardio, dance, active kids and aqua.
The Collective Markets
The Collective Markets in South Bank are a must-do in Brisbane. There are trinkets, goodies and treats, all crafted and sourced locally. These include craft, homewares, collectibles, exotic items, designer fashion, handmade jewellery and much more. There is also live music and food and drink.
