Supanova Comic Con & Gaming
Bring your inner comic book fan out in this extravagant expo where fandom comes to life, celebrating films and television, comic-books, gaming, anime, sci-fi cartoons, fantasy and collectables. This year there are celebrity appearances from John Barrowman (Torchwood, Arrow), Julie Benz (Angel, Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Ray Park (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Bonnie Wright (Harry Potter), Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries), and many more. Also featuring cosplay competitions, a free gaming zone, creative master classes, celebrity Q&A, and many more events, there is more than enough fun to be had for everyone.
The annual Moonlight Markets, now in its seventh year, is back with its diverse offering of music, entertainment, artisan crafts and fashion stalls, and the flavors of Campbelltown food trail vendors. Held in Throndon Park, Paradise, on the first Friday of November, December, February and March, the markets will surely deliver a fun filled environment for all ages.
The Lions Bike Show
For all the motorcycle enthusiasts out there, head over to Macclesfield Oval in the rolling hills of Adelaide and explore the grand exhibit of motorcycles, old and new. Along with a wide range of sausage sizzle, hot chips, pies, coffee, and dessert, the bike show makes for the perfect weekend plan.
Just under an hour’s drive from Adelaide, the Handpicked Festival is a treat for music lovers and wine lovers alike. With world class music, amazing wine, a myriad of handmade goods made by local artisans and a delicious array of food trucks, hidden amongst vineyards and gum trees, the festival is a sensory overload of barefoot dancing, slow living vibes and authentic experiences.
The Feast festival is back again to celebrate pride and diversity in 2018 and with more than 70 events across the 16-day festival in cabaret, comedy, theatre, visual art, music and others, the festival is bigger and better with tonnes of fun for everyone. Being one of the 10 major festivals in Adelaide and the third largest LGBTIQ festival in the country, this international event will bring performers from all over the world, such as 2014 Eurovision song contest winner Conchita Wurst, Buck Angel, Matthew Mitcham, and Dannii Minogue, to name a few.
Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Season Games
For all the football fans out there, the Adelaide United will host the Perth Glory and Brisbane Roam teams on their home ground on 11th and 30th of November respectively, in the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Season. Head over to Coopers Stadium to witness an exciting and spectacular display of football.
2018 Mitsubishi Motors Australian International 3 Day Event
This premier Equestrian 3 Day Event is a triathlon of Horse Sport comprising the 3 phases of Dressage, Cross-Country and Showjumping over 3 days. Adelaide has been chosen as the host city for the past 21 years and it is the only one held in the Southern Hemisphere and one of only six held in the world. The 2018 competition will have the biggest prize pool in the Southern Hemisphere with over $150,000 to be won.
Lifesaving World Championships 2018
Held every two years, the ILS Lifesaving World Championships showcases the best in surf sports and rescue, bringing together the most talented and skilled people to compete for the world title. Spread over 16 days, the competition highlights the importance of emergency service members and their contribution to the community and this year, South Australia is proud to host the championships.
Passenger – Runaway Tour
The British singer-songwriter Mike Rosenberg is all set to perform in Adelaide as part of his 2018 tour across Australia and New Zealand. After releasing his new single ‘Hell Or High Water’ and the launch of his new and tenth album ‘Runaway’, he will be performing new songs from his album, majority of which has been recorded across Australia.
Head over to The Range, 40 minutes south of Adelaide, to experience a day filled with beautiful music along with delicious South Australian food and wine. With two international acts by Kevin Morby & Waxahatchee and Greta Stanley and more to be announced, the festival promises to be the stuff of dreams to be enjoyed with friends and family.
