Adelaide Cabaret Festival
If there’s one thing Adelaide does well, it’s Cabaret. Firmly established on the arts calendar as an internationally acclaimed event, the world’s largest cabaret festival is returning to Adelaide once again this June. With 15 days of food, wine and accessible entertainment, under one roof at South Australia’s Adelaide Festival Centre, don’t miss the best in local, national and international classic and contemporary cabaret performances.
McLaren Vale Sea & Vines Festival
Celebrate the culinary and winemaking traditions of South Australia over the June Long Weekend at the McLaren Vale Adelaide MINI Garage Sea & Vines Festival. With three days of events on offer, from intimate degustation dinners with winemakers and chefs, to structured winery tours, and family-friendly fun, there is something for everyone here. So whether you’ve got a penchant for cheese and wine matching, long lazy lunches with acoustic music, good old feasting, or all of the above, South Australia’s largest wine-region celebration is the event for you!
SAGA: Adelaide’s International Women’s Film Festival
SAGA is all about women’s narratives, inclusion, diversity, community and surprising, unique films. The grassroots festival is Adelaide’s first and only women’s film festival, celebrating contemporary women’s films from every corner of the world. Named after the Norse goddess of stories and the keeping of secrets, SAGA is creating a platform for women and girls to tell their own stories, shape their own narratives and define themselves before they are defined by others. With 62 films over three days, don’t miss this culturally inclusive cacophony of ideas and perspectives.
A Day of Clarity
Adelaide’s favourite multi-venue music festival is back for its fourth year this June. The free 18+ event will be held across various venues in the East End of the Adelaide CBD, including the Crown and Anchor Hotel, The Exeter, Chateau Apollo, Roxies, and Union Street. The festival, which began as an annual celebration of the opening of local record store, Clarity Records, will feature a massive line-up, including punk heavyweights, Frenzal Rhomb and local legends, The Hard Aches. Celebrate the biggest names on the Australian punk and indie scene, as well as local up-and-comers this June, and live up to your name, Rad-elaiders!
Glen Ewin Estate Gin Fest
Wet your whistle this World Gin Day at the Glen Ewin Estate Gin Fest as the best local and interstate artisan gin distillers come together to celebrate the much loved libation. The likes of Imperial Measures Distilling, Pot & Still, Prohibition Liquor Co and Applewood Distillery will be showing off the best gin in the biz. With Entertainment Adelaide’s unique live DJ, percussion and saxophonist, a coffee cart, photo booth, delicious food, special event-priced bottles of gin, and of course, seriously good gin cocktails – let the fun be-Gin!
South Coast Wine Train
All aboard the South Coast Wine Train – the new way to experience the delights of South Australian wines as part of the Beyond the Vines Wine Tour! Jump on board the heritage SteamRanger Southern Encounter and travel through the rolling Adelaide Hills starting from Mount Barker to Strathalbyn and onward to the South Coast villages of Goolwa and Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
