Free cheese festival sells out in Sydney
Lovers of fromage across Sydney have been left feeling deprived of their favourite edible luxury after 2-day free cheese festival Bon Fromage sold out on Wednesday.
European Cheeses Australia decided to bring their free festival to Sydney after their highly successful stint in Melbourne last year, but festival organisers did not anticipate how quickly Sydney’s free event would reach capacity this time around. Punters have been left feeling deprived of cheese after this European Union-funded event sold out all of their 3500 tickets.
Festival organisers will be bringing half a tonne of European cheese to Bon Fromage this weekend to satisfy the greedy stomachs of Sydneysiders who will also have the chance to buy wine, participate in masterclasses on how to match cheese and wine and peruse a huge array of stalls offering some of Australia and Europe’s best cheeses.
Although we’re beside ourselves that we missed out on this ridiculously amazing and generous event held by the EU and the Centre National Interprofessionnel de l’Economie Laitiere (CNIEL), we’ll do our best to keep you updated when the event returns. Until then, stock up on the cheese of your choice while you draw yourself a cheese fondue bath.
