A Night of Horror Film Festival
Dendy Newtown is hosting a spook-tacular horror film festival event. Presented by Deadhouse Films, the festival will be showcasing the latest horror, sci-fi, fantasy and thriller films. Definitely not for the faint hearted and those under the age of 18.
Harbourside Seafood Festival
Get hooked! Harbourside Shopping Centre will be hosting its first ever seafood festival. The event will feature a wide range of fresh and delicious seafood, competitions and entertainment – you’ll be swimming like a salmon if you miss out. Keep an eye out for Dragon Boat Chinese restaurant, Gozleme King and even That Arancini Guy.
Probably the most intense 20 minutes of your life thus far. Designed by Glen Neath and David Rosenberg – Séance is an immersive experience for yourself and 19 others. Sitting inside the 12 metre shipping container you’ll explore those around you, as well as what’s inside of your own head.
Mov’In Bed has finally arrived in Sydney. With a range of cinematic classics and new releases available such as It (2017), Kill Bill, Titanic and even Beauty and the Beast (2017) – all in the comfort of a bed. Tickets are selling fast!
It is the season of joy. You either hate it or love it – Christmas that is. Directed by Glynn Nicholas, Silent Night explores the happiness, confusion and terror of Christmas and family.
Beer Class at RedOak
RedOak will be hosting its very own five-course beer degustation or “beergusation” as they like to call it. The two and a half hour class will transform your view on Australia’s much loved drink. You’ll learn how to taste different beers, appreciate beer, taught how to match beer with food and even on how to choose the perfect glassware. Each beer is matched with a small dish.
The day is family friendly and filled with a wide variety of Indigenous Australian products, food stalls and culture. With over 30 market stalls open on the day; plus there’ll be dancing, gathering performances and mouthwatering cooking demonstrations from Black Olive Chef, Mark Olive.
La La Land in Concert
The 2016 film winning the Academy Award for Best Original Music Score, La La Land will be performed live in concert. Immerse yourself in the drama/romance with a live 100-piece orchestra in the halls of Sydney Opera House. You’re in la la land if you miss this event.
Coffee lovers this ones for you. Garçon takes their coffee seriously and have generously offered Sydney-siders two, hour long events within December to teach us their coffee ways. You’ll learn how to evaluate the aroma and flavor of coffee – all levels of experience welcome.
Finders Keepers Markets
The three-day event will be just what you need to get all of your Christmas shopping done. Hosting approximately 200 stallholders in The Cutaway, Barangaroo; you’ll be able to find handcrafted goodies from jewellery to ceramics and locally sourced art. There’s nothing wrong with splurging yourself too!
Carols in The Domain
The day event will surely be a family friendly pleaser filled with everything to boost up that Christmas cheer. With live performances from The Wiggles, Justice Crew and Dami Im to the name the few, you’ll surely be jumping for joy. Keep an eye out for Santa!
