The Ultimate Vegan Holiday In Europe: Contiki

Europe and veganism are a match made in heaven thanks to Contiki!

Social travel expert Contiki has unveiled a new vegan-friendly tour of Europe this year, catering to growing demand from travellers seeking itineraries free of animal products.

The Vegan Food Europe Explorer is a new one-off trip and will be guided by two experts on all things plant-based; London based @thelittlelondonvegan and Dusseldorf based @laurafruitfairy. The eight-day trip will take travellers on a vegan food journey around some of Europe’s coolest cities, mostly renowned for having meat-centric local cuisines.

The pre-planned holiday starts in Berlin, Germany on 16 August and ends in Budapest, Hungary on 23 August, featuring plenty of indulgent feasts for vegan travellers.

Top foodie experiences include:

  • A vegan cooking class in Budapest run by @laurafruitfairy
  • A private, plant-based EatWith dining experience with locals in Berlin
  • A dreamy dinner cruise along the Danube river
  • The chance to sample a wide range of vegan delicacies on an interactive food tour in Berlin

Immersive cultural experiences such as a locally guided bike tour of opulent Prague and a classical music concert in the melodious Vienna, the home of Beethoven, are also included. And then there are wellness excursions on the itinerary, including a morning yoga class in Prague and a soak in the famous Széchenyi traditional thermal baths in Budapest.

The accommodation has been specially selected to showcase the coolest stays around, including the Moxy in Berlin and A&O in Budapest. Of course, bespoke vegan breakfasts will be served exclusively for Contiki guests.

The Vegan Food Europe Explorer is currently on offer as part of Contiki’s global sale, with prices starting from $2,264* (standard price starting from $2,829).
