Endeavour Tap Rooms are throwing a month-long festival of Brews, BBQ and Blues – bringing the soul of New Orleans to the heart of The Rocks. September will see the roll-out of a speciality smoked meats menu, an exclusive Endeavour Bourbon Ale, live blues music every weekend, classic movie screenings plus menu specials like happy hour wings. Be sure to try the Southern Smoked Meat Platter for 2 ($50) featuring New Orleans Andouille Sausage, Louisiana Style Smoked Pork Shoulder and Southern Smoked Brisket. Better yet, wash it down with the exclusive Bourbon Ale – the modern interpretation of a true American classic with a strong malty flavour. Yum!

THE BUTLER'S BOTTOMLESS SPRING LUNCH
If you already loved The Butler, you’re about to love it even more, because they are launching their first-ever Bottomless Lunch series! Nestled amongst the backstreets of Potts Point, the eclectic oasis lies waiting to fill your belly with a delicious Ibero-American shared lunch ($88pp) and quench your thirst with a two-hour deluge of bottomless bubbles. The lunch features an array of stunning dishes including Kingfish Ceviche, Four Cheese Queso Fundido and Pan Dulce. Just remember, this is one for your mates and you’ll need 4-12 people to kick off your bottomless lunch. Bookings essential.
BIG POPPA'S APERITIVO
Here’s the next best trio to Destiny’s Child: cocktails, cheese and hip-hop. And you can get it all at Big Poppa’s, thanks to their latest Aperitivo offering. Between 5pm and 7pm guests can enjoy throwing back a couple of $10 cocktails with a side of cheese. And Big Poppa’s know cheese – it’s their speciality. If you have a love for hip-hop and Italy, you’ll be spoilt for choice with $10 spritz, classic martinis and even negronis, accompanied by delicious aperitivo bar bites ranging from only $3-$7, with the likes of crostini, mortadella and olives, all whilst taking in the best of beats.
SAKÉ DINNER SERIES & WEEKEND PICNIC
Saké Restaurant & Bar is celebrating the arrival of spring and the stunning cherry blossoms with two exclusive dinners focusing on the regional cuisines of Japan, as well as a picnic-themed lunch event and limited-edition cocktails inspired by the iconic pink blooms. All Saké restaurants in Sydney will host these exquisite dinners in their private dining rooms with paired drinks. Would you prefer a picnic? Over two days, Saké at The Rocks will be transforming into a heavenly picnic, laden in blush tones, plush textures and sprinkled with sensational art-inspired bites and two hours of flowing Veuve Clicquot Rose’, Cloudy Bay wine and Sapporo beer.
BARTOLO'S SOUTHERN ITALY DINNER
Didn’t quite make it to Italy this year? Never fear, because the stunning south of Italy is coming to Surry Hills. You can join the Bartolo family by embarking on a journey through the south of Italy, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the incredible wines that can be found throughout this region, specifically their roots in Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. This dinner series will focus on small wine producers from different corners of the island and will be matched with traditional Italian dishes from Bartolo’s amazing head chef, Teofilo Nobrega. The sensational dinner includes a small aperitif cocktail to start, two glasses of wine with your dinner as well as a dessert wine to sip over a shared dessert. Bookings are essential.
FRATELLI FRESH SPRING BRUNCH
Fratelli Fresh is introducing sensational new dishes and fresh flavours to its menu this spring, including a bottomless spring brunch, Sunday spritz specials and a week-long celebration of oysters. But let’s be honest, nothing screams perfection more than a boozy spring lunch! Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour is ushering in spring with a lavish long brunch ($79pp), from 12pm to 2pm, on 7 September. Highlights from the six-course menu include exclusive breakfast dishes such as ciabatta rolls with shrimp and avocado and tomato baked-eggs, or shakshuka. There will also be a selection of the restaurants’ new spring dishes, including a pesto-base pizza topped with ricotta, tomatoes and basil. The brunch includes endless spritzes, espresso martinis, wine, beer and prosecco.
PARKLANDS FOOD FEST
Parklands Food Fest is back with new chefs, new food and new entertainment for an all-ages celebration of the homegrown at Lizard Log, Abbotsbury. This is the ultimate foodie’s festival filled with celebrity chefs Miguel Maestre and Anna Polyviou taking to the kitchen stage to host live cooking demos, as well as an array of the best of Western Sydney’s producers and farmers, including over 50 stallholders, all ready to showcase their goods. There will also be a bar serving up local brews and cocktails as well as live entertainment from reggae band Te Mana, RnB singer Jeida Woods and a kids disco, as well as a dedicated kids’ zone including a circus playground, rock climbing and face painting. Sold yet? We certainly are.
HOUSEKEEPING AT THE OXFORD TAVEN
Housekeeping & Stayfly Sydney have joined forces with the Tav to bring you a selection of Sydney’s finest music artists under one roof. Independent Sydney artist Jannah Beth [Live] delivers an uplifting and positive influence that is felt across her impressive live performance, genre-defining sound and her messages of independence and acceptance that are cultivated through her songwriting. You’ll also be surrounded by great beats from 7pm with DJ’s including Freda Frequency, AL DENTE, Raquel, FLY WAVES, TINY and Diola. Stop by for a cold one, grab a feed fresh from the BBQ smoker (vegan and vege options available).
SOUTH COAST FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL
Ok, so this event will require the lovely residents of Sydney to head two hours down south to unlock the hidden delights of Berry and its surroundings. The picturesque town will play host to the two-day food and wine festival, complete with over 15 events including cooking classes, demonstrations and tastings. You’ll also be spoilt with hatted restaurant pop-ups, sensational drops from South Coast vineyards all accompanied by wonderful live music and entertainment. There will be over 50 stallholders showcasing the best of the south, from seafood and cheese to berries and more. Tickets cost $28pp.
ALE STARS BEER TASTING AT THE TAPHOUSE
Hey now, you’re an Ale Star. For one glorious night only, James (co-owner) and Joe (head brewer) from Garage Beer Co will be joining the team at The Taphouse for a very special night, the Ale Stars night on September 19. $45 will gain guests access to a tasting selection of four spectacular beers matched with a two-course meal, all whilst having a laugh and playing trivia with the hosts.
Harbourside festival dining anyone? Yes please. The Pyrmont Festival will be returning on September 20 for its ninth year in a row to bring Sydneysiders 17 packed days of mouth-watering food, sensational wine and the best in local arts and culture. However, the main event is the two-day foodie festival from 28-29 September. Housed in Pirrama Park overlooking Sydney Harbour, this event is perfect for the whole family. And if you’re struggling to get away for the weekend, here’s great news – the festival actually partners with Orange, NSW to showcase the finest cool-climate wines from the region, which is home to over 30 cellar doors and more than 80 vineyards. The 17-day food and funfair will see approximately 20,000 foodies celebrating all things delicious – an event not to miss out on.
MONTH-LONG CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL AT DANIEL SAN
Instagram, get ready for a whole lot of pink shaded love. Manly’s Daniel San is hosting a month-long Cherry Blossom Festival and filling the restaurant with floor to ceiling blooms for the prettiest of lunches. The festival begins on 1 September running until 7 October with pink-inspired cherry blossom special dishes, cherrylicious cocktails and a fabulous floral photo wall. Sit down to sakura mochi ball skewers, sakura vege burgers, pink pork bao buns and even sakura sushi. Monday to Friday Daniel San is dishing up food and drink deals including $20 Kirin beers + sakura burgers. They’ve even promised to bring back the utterly indulgent taiyaki waffles, this time stuffed with Nutella and a pink twist. What more could you ask for?
