Translating to ‘garden’ in Arabic, stepping into this rooftop bar in Hibernian Place, Hadiqa is like entering a Middle Eastern garden oasis. This is therefore the perfect venue if you wish to escape the concrete jungle of Perth’s CBD below and spend the night relaxing amongst the greenery this Valentine’s Day. On arrival, diners are treated to a flute of Chandon Rosé before indulging in a five-course Moroccan-inspired menu that is sure to leave you with a greater appreciation for Middle Eastern cuisine. The Flour Factory
The Flour Factory, a former flour mill, is opening up its beautiful dining spaces to host a Valentine’s Dinner which not only celebrates love, but also highlights The Stables Bar impressive inventory of gin. The night includes a romantic four-course share style menu that is centred around fresh and local Western Australian produce with a slight Spanish inspired twist. Alongside the meals is a selection of three of The Stables Bar’s gin which can be picked from over 150 options, so you are definitely spoilt for choice.
Varnish on King
As you arrive, this Valentine’s Day, Varnish on King will treat you to a flute of Chandon Rosé and oysters as you wait for your exclusive degustation menu. What is sure to impress you and your date is the dessert; a collaboration between Chicho Gelato and Varnish which will see you indulging in Pretzel and Choco Chip Gelato swirled with peanut butter fudgy pretzel brownie. The Valentine’s Day menu at this underground whisky bar is sure to leave you full and satisfied.
A local’s favourite, The Camfield is highly regarded as the place to be for a drink and a quick bite to eat before visiting the new Optus Stadium. This Valentine’s Day, The Camfield’s large green grass area will be transformed into an outdoor movie theatre so you and your loved one can watch There’s Something About Mary under the stars. As well as that, on the night hampers containing mini bottles of champagne, chocolate coated strawberries, cheese, crackers and gourmet popcorn will be available to make the event even more special.
The Stables Bar
On Valentine’s Day, The Stables Bar is hosting an intimate three-course dinner for you and a special someone that is designed, cooked and served by executive chef Ben Keal. Throughout the evening, guests get to indulge in a choice of dishes including Mozzarella and Parmesan Arancini or Tempura Exmouth Tiger Prawns for entree before choosing the Slow Cooked Beef Rib with horseradish mash and peppercorn sauce or the Pan Roasted Barramundi with macadamia pesto for main. To finish off the degustation, there is a decadent dark chocolate tart to share.
Sweetwater Rooftop Bar
Everyone’s favourite seaside city, Fremantle, is home to the Sweetwater Rooftop Bar which is beloved for its beautiful interiors and delicious Asian-inspired menu that includes plates such as Korean fried chicken with lemongrass and the crispy skinned barramundi. For those couples who want to spend the night relaxing by the sea and indulging in a Mediterranean influenced menu while witnessing a beautiful sunset, then The Shorehouse’s three-course Valentine’s Day special is the perfect option, especially when its only $85 per person. Perfectly positioned overlooking Swanbourne Beach, this Valentine’s Day, guests can choose between the Fresh Oysters or Kingfish Crudo with wasabi for their entree, while the main menu includes Spinach and Ricotta Gnocchi, Confit Duck Leg or Roasted Red Emperor with eggplant and fennel puree. The shared dessert – perfect for the only day one is happy to share – is a Chocolate Hazelnut Pavlova.
Core Cider House
There is no area more perfect to celebrate love than heading into the calmness and serenity of the Perth Hills. Luckily enough, Core Cider House in Pickering Brook is opening its doors for couples to enjoy their Valentine’s Day night. The bistro provides guests two options: a romantic seated dinner in their rustic Orchard Bistro which overlooks the orchard, or a more casual picnic set up outside in their orchard. Either way, guests have the chance to indulge in delicious food alongside some quality cider straight from their garden.
The Garden is a beautiful spot that is consistently rated highly among the Leederville locals for its open-space restaurant and its relaxed and moody atmosphere, let alone its cool industrial finishes. If there is one day you should head to The Garden to see what the locals rave about, then make it Valentine’s Day. The restaurant and bar will give you and your partner a cocktail on arrival and a shared platter to enjoy before serving your choice of main. Think Grilled Tasmanian Salmon, South Australian Chilli Mussels and ending on a shared dessert. Definitely the place to be for a cool and casual date night.
