World Taco Day has arrived and never have our taste buds and stomachs been quite so excited.

The humble taco is one that shines bright in the eyes of anyone who, basically, enjoys food.
Never have we ever met anyone that doesn’t enjoy a decent taco… Think about it – have you?
In honour of the great day and the even greater Mexican delicacy, we’ve compiled a list of our top Sydney taco-serving-hot-spots.

SoCal

You knew it was coming. Hunter and Bligh is no stranger to calling favourites and yes, SoCal is one of our all time favourite locations. This World Taco Day SoCal is celebrating all day and all night with an 8-course taco degustation. The $40pp feast includes 8 tacos and your choice of Margarita. Life truly is better with tacos & tequila…

Mejico

Mejico knows how to Mexico. On a daily basis they offer a minimum of four taco variations, all of which we have tried (several times for good measure) and all of which, we highly recommend. If you’re around the Sydney CBD this evening, kick on down to Pitt St and treat yourself.

Chica Bonita

The tiny hole-in-the-wall joint, lovingly praised by Sydney folk as some of the best Mexican in town deserves a prized position on this list. Make the most of your World Taco Day and head on down to Manly. Order yourself way too many tacos, carne fries and if you feel like a bit more fun, order a Mega Lagerita (you probably won’t thank us tomorrow morning…)

For $20pp, you and your amigos will score an endless supply of tacos – we’re talking achiote chicken and cheese creme, slow cooked pork and jalapeno and grilled barramundi. PLUS $10 Chilli Margaritas… we might actually stop right there and BRB.

Bar Patron

How could we possibly make Mexi list and not mention our one true love. Bar Patron is hands down, the location that has it all. The food, the view and most importantly – the drinks. Diners have 6 gourmet tacos to choose from, of which we recommend all. Spice up the dining experience (because, why not?) and try their Chipotle Margarita. You know where we’ll be.
