Cheer on the Wallabies this weekend with a family feast!

Chargrill Charlie’s the proudly-Australian, family-run chicken institution is rooting for the Wallabies in the 2019 Rugby World Cup by offering free chicken family packs every time Australia wins. Aussie fans simply need to visit one of the 12 Chargrill Charlie’s stores across Sydney or their Camberwell store in Melbourne wearing their green and gold Wallaby jersey, cap, beanie or scarf to enjoy the piping-hot whole stuffed chicken pack.

“We’re thrilled to get behind the Wallabies team as they show the world what they can do in Japan”, says Chargrill Charlie’s Director, Ryan Sher. “As an Australian owned and run company, we’re passionate about supporting our local communities and their sports clubs, so what better opportunity to get behind our team than at the Rugby World Cup. We’re backing Australia all the way and can’t wait to see our stores flooded with green and gold as the Wallabies charge their way to the finals!”.

The Wallabies family pack offer, featuring a whole stuffed chicken, a large salad and large chips or wedges is available for 24 hours after the final whistle is blown. It also includes an Aussie-themed Chargrill Charlie’s trucker cap with every pack.

The Wallabies family pack will be on offer this weekend should Australia nudge out Fiji in Saturday night’s kick-off. The Wallabies will then need to beat Wales on Sunday 29 September, Uruguay on Saturday 5 October and Georgia on Friday 11 October.

Chargrill Charlie’s is also the perfect option for those looking to host their own Rugby World Cup parties at home, with a range of catering packs available for pre-purchase.

The Feeding Frenzy, for instance, features three chickens, regular chips, 15 mini spring rolls, 15 empanadas, family tabbouleh, family Greek salad and three family apple pieces for $150. There’s also the Footy Feast, including two whole chickens, 15 devil wings, two family chips, 15 schnitzel strips, one family salad and two apple pieces for $110.

Celebrating thirty years since the first Chargrill Charlie’s opened its doors on the golden shores of Coogee, Chargrill Charlie’s pride themselves on their strong Australian roots. Their clean cooking techniques have made their shop the go-to dinner place for busy families since 1989, while their award-winning recipes have kept people’s mouths watering time and time again.
