Think you can brew?

Are you a cicerone, a zymurgist, a home brewer or simply just a passionate beer drinker? Well, we’ve finally found your calling thanks to Coopers DIY Master of the Brewniverse Competition – your once in a lifetime hop-portunity.

Launching at the beginning of May this year, in celebration of Good Beer Week, Coopers has partnered with Dan Murphy’s in search of Australia’s best DIY home beer brewer by allowing one lucky person to have their own beer brewed and canned by Coopers to then be sold nationally across Dan Murphy’s stores.

If you’ve ever dreamt of starting your own brewery or think you have the skills to create the signature, winning brew – then this is for you!

So how does it work? Firstly, purchase one of Coopers DIY Beer Brew Kits. Then, brew your beer in the comfort of your own home, enter your beer online and finally, drop off a sample of your concoction at one of your nearest drop-off points. It’s that easy.

From there, your home-brew will be taken into the state judging rounds that commence from September. If successful, your special brew will then progress to national judging in December with the winner announced in February 2020.

With craft brew kit sales increasing by 35% in the past year, there’s no doubt that Aussies are interested in the home-brewing practices of artisanal beer products and practices – especially with Coopers easy-to-use kits which are as simple as mixing, brewing, bottling and enjoying.

Coopers Divisional Manager, Scott Harris says, “we’re keen to discover Australia’s greatest DIY brewer and launch the next generation of DIY brewers, with this exciting opportunity.”
